“Local is Laka!” A Zambian phrase that means “Nothing beats local”
Traveling within the boarders of your own country is the best way to start your traveling journey. There are so many reasons why people travel among which is to explore and appreciate beautiful sceneries and of course, the obvious, take extremely beautiful pictures and believe me all this can be acquired without leaving the comfort of your country and creating a hole in your pocket. All in all, you can never have enough of something so living in a particular country does not mean you know everything about it. There is always some adventure waiting for you hence the need to explore different domestic destinations . Acknowledging and appreciating what’s right in front of you and at your disposal is the best way to enjoy life and definitely the first step to an adventurous life.
For example, l come from Livingston, a small town in Zambia, l took the time to know and explore my town and even up to now l am still amazed by the kind of numerous adventures it gave me; from beautiful views and drizzling at the Victoria Falls to mesmerizing sunsets to amazing fear factors like bungee jumping, swimming in the devil’s pool and walking with lions, the list is endless because there are so many things to do in Livingstone. All this from just one region within my country and believe me every other region has adventures of its own indeed Local is Laka and I’m joyful with the moments l can create without spending too much money.
